When you first log in as a nurse, there are a few key areas to review to quickly understand what needs your attention.

Start by checking:

  • Active alerts, which reflect changes in resident condition observed by caregivers

  • Open nurse tasks which are related to CMI and need to be reviewed or completed

  • Unread messages about residents that may require follow-up or clarification

Next, review the left-hand navigation for alert badges. Badges indicate outstanding items that may need attention, including alerts related to:

  • Bathing

  • Toiletion

  • Nutrition

  • Restorative care

These indicators help you prioritize clinical review and follow-up quickly.

By starting with these areas, you can efficiently identify resident care needs and address any urgent items early in your shift.
