What is a Check-In?

A Check-In is a way to document when a caregiver has physically entered and checked on a resident or resident room during their shift.

Caregivers record a Check-In by tapping the Jana puck located in the resident’s room.

When the puck is tapped:
• The Jana app opens the resident profile
• Any care tasks, events, or required care for that resident are displayed

Check-Ins help provide visibility into:
• Caregiver presence
• Resident safety and well-being
• Accountability for room checks

Check-Ins are recorded during a caregiver’s shift and can be reviewed by nurses and administrators to understand caregiver activity and ensure required rounding is being completed.
