What is a nurse task?

A Nurse Task is created to prompt timely clinical review of a resident’s care.

Nurse Tasks are commonly generated in response to alerts related to:
• ADLs
• Restorative Nursing
• Other changes in resident condition

These tasks help ensure that changes in care are reviewed and addressed in a way that supports clinical outcomes and can positively impact Case Mix Index (CMI).

Nurse Tasks can be used to:
• Identify inconsistencies between a resident’s baseline and current care plan
• Draw attention to a new or changing diagnosis
• Document recommendations such as an off-cycle MDS

Nurse Tasks can be accessed at both:
• The Facility level, and
• The Neighborhood level

This ensures nurses can review and act on clinical tasks at either a high-level view or within a specific unit.
