Jana makes it easy to manage templates for your restorative nursing programs using the Restorative Nursing Library.
How to access the Restorative Nursing Library
You can access the Restorative Nursing Library from both the organization (admin) level and the facility level, depending on where you want the template to apply.
Organization-wide templates (Admins only)
Switch to Administrator view using the dropdown in the upper-left corner.
Select Restorative Nursing.
Templates created here are applied to every facility within the organization.
Facility-specific templates
Go to Facility.
Select Restorative Nursing.
Templates created here apply only to the selected facility.
A Source column on the Restorative Nursing page indicates whether a template is:
Organization-wide, or
Facility-specific
Who can add Restorative Nursing templates?
Administrators can add and manage templates at the organization level.
Nurses can add and manage templates at the facility level.
Using Restorative Nursing templates
From the Restorative Nursing Library, you can view your complete set of restorative nursing program templates. These templates are automatically available when you add a restorative nursing program to a resident.
For each template, you can customize:
Program title and description
Which ADLs are captured during the program
How often the program must be completed to receive credit for MDS reimbursement
You can update these templates at any time.
Important note about template changes
Changes made to the Restorative Nursing Library do not affect programs that are already assigned to residents.
The library functions as a set of templates that serve as a starting point when creating a restorative nursing program for a resident.
